Every activity in this book is rooted in the science of bilateral stimulation and mindful movement — a powerful combination for pregnancy wellness that supports both you and your growing baby.
Supports brain integration & nervous system balance
The bilateral hand movements used throughout this book activate both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously — helping regulate the autonomic nervous system, which is frequently under strain during pregnancy. The result? Better focus, steadier emotions, and a deeper sense of calm.
Reduces stress, anxiety & emotional overwhelm
Repetitive bilateral hand movements have a naturally calming effect on the nervous system — similar to grounding techniques used in therapy. Regular use can meaningfully lower perceived stress and encourage relaxation. This makes the book especially helpful for:
Enhances body awareness & coordination
Activity-based movement improves proprioception — your body's ability to sense itself in space — while supporting overall motor coordination. More than just exercise, it encourages a mindful, present connection with your body at every stage of pregnancy.
Indirect benefits for your baby's development
When you feel calmer, your baby benefits too. A regulated maternal nervous system creates a healthier prenatal environment — reduced maternal stress has been shown to positively influence fetal development. Caring for your mind is one of the most powerful things you can do for your baby before they're even born.
More than a pretty activity book
Glow Mama is designed around real neuroscience — giving expecting moms a gentle, enjoyable way to support their brain health, emotional balance, and baby's wellbeing, one page at a time.
Super helpful as we were navigating newborn sleep! We used tips from this course to help get baby to sleep longer stretches (and eventually entirely) through the night, and at nap time. When baby got a bit older, we used the same methods to help separate feeding/sleeping association so that it was easier to get her down at night and for naps. This was fantastic content for us!

I am a psych np and had my first baby last summer at age 36. With being so active work wise, prioritizing sleep was a HUGE goal of mine and I had done a lot of research on sleep training and current practices and evidence. I was absolutely thrilled with the course! Our little one was sleeping 12 hours by week 8 and has been a super solid sleeper ever sense! We consistently for a year had two 1.5-2hour naps twice a day without fussing as well. It’s amazing to see him learn a skill of self soothing and regulating at such a young age and a blessing to be able to put him down at night awake and have a simple routine with NO tears or fuss when we say goodnight. Putting baby down to sleep awake was huge and I especially have loved Cara’s monthly emails checking in and giving you education based on your child’s age each month. SUPER helpful! I also loved how this was NOT SAYING you shouldn’t ever cuddle your newborn or baby or allow them to nap on you. It was practical plan that allowed this WHILE in newborn phase aiming for one sleep a day of getting into habit of putting to sleep when awake etc. I also loved how well Cara explained the why behind everything she suggests. Definitely worth it!!!

I can't even begin to say how much this course helped me! My first born was a horrible sleeper and I was so uneducated, so when I had my second I purchased this and pretty much followed it exactly and my son was giving me 9 hours straight sleep a night at 6 weeks old. When he'd go through regressions having the knowledge learned from this course kept me on track and we'd get through them no problem. My son started sleeping through the night at 7 months old and he's just over 2 years old now and has been sleeping through the night ever since. I absolutely loved this course and how understanding Cara comes across. I wish I would have known about her with my first. She saved my sleep!

I recommend this to so many parents! Our baby was sleeping 12hrs a night by 3 months and he/we were able to get through the dreaded sleep regressions because of everything we learned! If you want a good sleeper, do exactly what Cara says!

I swear by this program. If you remind yourself you’re playing the long game and commit to the little things (extending feeding by 10 minutes, etc) there is a huge sleeping win. A friend gifted the newborn bundle to me, and I now this is my gift to new parents- best off registry gift you can buy!
